In order to accomodate a new production line, Mubea needed to raise their entire factory floor six inches while maintaining the operation of their plant. Along with the help of the general contractor, McD Concrete is working around the existing production schedule by pouring one-quarter of the floor at a time. In order to minimize downtime, the mix being placed is a 4,000 psi concrete with 8 bags of cement and fifty pounds of Novatek fibers per cubic yard. This allows the customer to begin placing machines on the slab within 48 hours of finishing as opposed to the normal time frame of several weeks. In addition, McD Concrete is using a Somero S-240 Laser Screed to ensure the flatest floor possible.
